Occurrence of Oligopus ater Risso, 181 0 (Pisces, Ophidiiformes) in the submarine caves of the NE Majorcan littoral
The presence of Oligopus ater in submarine caves of the NE of the island of Mallorca is cited, after a four-year survey. The distribution is constant along the whole year and always in the dark parts of the caves. There are one to three individuals (average) per cavity. Considerations on its biology and habitat are made.
