Resumen

Larval development of Triturus marmoratus (Amphibia, Salamandridae) at a temporaty pond in NW Spain
Larval development of Triturus marmoratus has been studied in a temporary pond in NW Spain during three years (1983-1985). Larvae were found from the end of April until September. Larval period was shorter during 1984, when the pond dned up early. Larval size differed between years while growth rate did not. Metamorphs were captured from May to September. Mean body size at metamorphosis did not vary within 1983 and 1985, but was significantly higher during the year when the pond did not dry (1985).
